Kue Soes

Ingredients :

* Fla Filling

  • 1000 ml Milk 
  • 4 Tbsp All Purpose Flour
  • 4 Tbsp Corn Starch
  • 1 Cup sugar 
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1/2 Tsp Salt
  • 1 Tbsp Melted butter
  • 1 Tbsp Vanilla Extract

* Pastry

  • 1 Cup Water
  • 2 stick butter
  • 1.5 Cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1/2 Tsp Salt
  • 6 Eggs

Directions :

Making Fla :

Boil milk in medium heat, add sugar, whisked eggs, mix together until well blended. Work in batches, add all purpose flour and corn starch while whisking it. Stir constantly until the fla starts to become firm. Add Salt and Vanilla extract. Keep on low heat for 20 – 30 mins until the fla becomes firm.

Making Pastry :

Boil water with butter until all butter is melted. Add sugar and salt. Work in batches, add all purpose flour to mixture. Stir constantly. Remove from heat. Let it sit for 5-10 mins at room temperature. Move the batter to a large bowl, add eggs and mix it together. 

Preheat oven for 350 F. Pour the batter into piping bag, and shape it in baking pan (spray with butter). How to shape it? click in here.  

Bake for 20 – 25 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown. Remove from oven and let it sit at room temperature before you fill it.

After pastry done, cut it half and fill the pastry with fla. Sprinkle with confection sugar on top.
